The theme this term is ‘Change’, which is quite appropriate with the changes on the horizon for Welsh Education. The pupils’ voice will be heard to ensure effective learning.

The focus of our work will be how WW2 changed the lives of ordinary people. We will be writing letters as evacuees, discover information about the leaders of WW2 and write a biography. The effect of rations and how the people managed through recycling, growing and make do and mend. We will attempt to change items of clothing into something new.

Dissolving and chemical reactions will be our science research work. In mathematics fractions, percentages, shape, measure and number work will be our main focus but we will also have many numeracy activities across the curriculum. Year 6 pupils will have the opportunity to lead the school Eisteddfod giving them leadership skills and responsibility. An exciting term finishing with a visit to Llangrannog.

We would encourage you to listen to your child read as often as possible.
