The school feels justifiably proud of its musical achievements over the years.

Children are given the opportunity to sing regularly, thus learning a variety of songs and hymns. As well as singing, we encourage pupils to join and appreciate other musical experiences.

All pupils in years 3, 4, 5 & 6 receive recorder lessons. Every child is expected to buy and look after his/her own recorder.

The school also offers pupils an opportunity to learn to play the violin, guitar, brass and woodwind instruments.

We are visited weekly by peripatetic music teachers, and pupils are given the opportunity to learn to play the guitar, brass and woodwind instruments by these visiting specialists

It is school policy not to charge for instrumental lessons.

The school choir as well as other singing groups have regularly performed at the Urdd Eisteddfodau as well as on television, and in a number of local concerts.

Every June, children are given the opportunity to perform in the school proms in Carmarthen which encompasses both vocal and instrumental opportunities.
