It is vital to educate our pupils about online safety in a 21st Century school.  Our pupils often participate in lessons where online security issues are highlighted, so that they can make indepentent decisions about keeping themselves safe whilst in the digital and real world. A Police Liaison Officer will also visit the school to support the learning within the classroom, and to ensure that the appropriate safeguarding messages are shared with the children and staff.

The School Beat Cymru programme ( which is delivered by the School liaison police officers) also covers internet safety and we have linked in with them regarding particular trends and emerging concerns. The school health nurses also support schools and pupils with self-harming issues and have the CHATT helpline where young people can call or text to discuss issues. Area 43 counselling service have also extended their services due to lockdown and have worked with some primary children this term around wellbeing issues.
